Dr. Semir Osmanagic thinks Novak Djokovic finishing as the most successful player in tennis history is a major accomplishment for the Balkans and also probably a slap to the face of the kings who invented tennis. Osmanagic, who has a doctorate in social sciences, discovered The Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun complex in 2005.
In recent years, Djokovic has become a frequent guest at the Archeological Park Ravne 2 in Visoko, Bosnia and Herzegovina. During one of his conversations with Djokovic, Osmanagic tried to explain to the Serb how astonishing it is what he has been able to accomplish in “the sport of kings.” Osmanagic is a firm believer that no matter where you come from, with the hard work, dedication and commitment you can become the best in your profession.
“Novak Djokovic is the world No 1 in tennis. Six times he has won The Balkan Athlete of the Year award. I’m proud of him. Three times he has been the world athlete of the year. When he retires in six or seven years, he will be the most successful player in tennis history.
Can you imagine what a slap to the face that is to those who invented tennis in the palaces of Royal France and the palaces of Royal England? A man from the Balkans (showed up and became the best-ever in their sport,” Osmanagic said in a video uploaded on his Instagram.
Dr. Osmanagic congratulated Djokovic on winning the Australian OpenAfter Djokovic defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in this year’s Australian Open, Osmanagic congratulated the Serb on big day.
“TRIUMPH OF NOVAK DJOKOVIC’S LIFE. Novak Djokovic has completed an important life cycle by winning the Australian Open tennis grand slam tournament. It was his record tenth triumph in Melbourne and twenty-second grand slam, confirming the title of the best tennis player ever.
But, this is also his triumph in life. Who today remembers the names of Australia’s prime ministers or their Immigration and Sports ministers from January 2022? And for a good reason, almost no one. Novak winning the title a year later is more than a game.
That was his fate and the reward for the man who dared to fulfill his life potential, regardless of all the difficulties that followed him. Novak Djokovic is not only the best sportsman of the Balkans and Europe of all times, but also a role model to young generations and all humanity,” Osmanagic wrote in a lengthy Facebook post.
