Football fans may be tuning in to watch who will be victorious in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, but eagle-eyed (pun-intended) viewers also are on the lookout for the status brands seen on players, sports analysts and the stars in attendance.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce kicked off a social-media frenzy when he arrived at Caesars Superdome on Sunday afternoon in a look that was teeming in 1970s inspiration. A custom suit by Mike Amiri, who founded his Amiri brand in Los Angeles in 2014, Kelce’s mahogany-toned look featured an elongated jacket, flared pants and an open-collar lurex shirt, the ensemble inspired by a design that premiered on Amiri’s fall runway in Paris on Jan. 23. Taylor Swift’s significant other also accessorized his ensemble with Amiri accessories, including a brooch crafted of a genuine rose bloom dipped in 24-karat gold.

Shortly before the National Anthem and other festivities, including a tribute to New Orleans musicians led by Harry Connick Jr., Fox Sports lead NFL analyst Tom Brady offered commentary about the game in a sleek gray suit, though viewers’ eyes likely immediately went to the glint of yellow sparkle peeking out from his jacket. That was Jacob & Co.’s Caviar Tourbillon in Yellow Sapphires, part of a limited-edition collection of 18 timepieces rendered in different gemstones. The watch Brady is wearing retails for $740,000 and features an exclusive manually winding caliber and a one-minute flying tourbillon, both housed in a 47mm case of 18-karat yellow gold and fully embellished with 424 yellow sapphires.
“Tom Brady is the epitome of excellence, both on and off the field,” Benjamin Arabov, CEO of Jacob & Co., said in a statement released minutes later. “We’re thrilled to see him wearing two of our most prestigious timepieces on the biggest stage in sports. The … Caviar Tourbillon [embodies] the precision, luxury and innovation that define Jacob & Co. We’re honored to have him represent the artistry and craftsmanship behind every piece we create.”
To sing a jazzed-up version of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” Jon Batiste wore an all-black ensemble by Paul Smith, styled by Jason Rembert and including the British label’s Soho Tailored-Fit wool suit and Tailored-Fit cotton Artist Stripe cuff shirt. Batiste accessorized his suit with Tiffany & Co. jewels, including a pair of the house’s iconic Jean Schlumberger Bird on a Rock brooches, one featuring a diamond of 12-plus carats and the other a citrine of more than 60 carats, both set in yellow gold and platinum.
Other style notes seen Sunday afternoon in New Orleans: Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts arrived at Caesars Superdome carrying the Empire travel bag by Coach, while Eagles running back Saquon Barkley accessorized with Jacob & Co., the brand’s $348,000 Astronomia Solar Zodiac watch and a 76-carat diamond tennis bracelet.
