Stunning tennis ace Donna Vekic made sure to get plenty of rest and relaxation in whilst away on holiday following her recent Hopman Cup win alongside Croatian compatriot Borna Coric
Croatian tennis star Donna Vekic has wowed her social media fans with a set of stunning holiday snaps following her Hopman Cup win.
Having returned for the first time the Hopman Cup pits mixed international teams against each other, with the 2023 edition seeing Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, France and Switzerland compete for the trophy.
Played on the clay courts of Nice, it was Vekic and her partner Borna Coric who won the tournament, defeating Switzerland’s Leandro Riedi and Celine Naef in the final.
The Croatian pair looked delighted following their win, hoisting the impressive trophy at the Nice Lawn Tennis Club at the end of July. And it appears Vekic has spent the weeks following her and Coric’s win by relaxing on the Elaphiti Islands just off the coast from Dubrovnik.
Taking to her Instagram account, where the world number 22 has more than 230,000 followers, Vekic uploaded a series of snaps showing off her post Hopman Cup adventures, with two of the pH๏τos showing the 27-year-old soaking up plenty of sunshine.
She captioned the post: “Lots of views and shades of blues @croatiafulloflife #vitaminsea.” And it’s safe to say her fans were loving her two blue ʙικιɴι snaps she included in her Instagram post.
One fan wrote: “Donna, one day Instagram will block your account for excess of beauty. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Another added: “The most beautiful Lady in the WTA.”
A third commented: “Soak up all the good energy” with a fourth also writing: “Love watching you play, but also love smiley down-time Donna.” And a fifth said: “Wow wow wow!!”
Vekic has enjoyed a mixed summer on the court. She managed to make it to the final of the BETT1OPEN in Berlin back in June, defeating seeded opponents Elena Rybakina and Maria Sakkari on her way there. However, she lost in two sets to Czech star Petra Kvitova in the final.
Then weeks later, she would see her run at Wimbledon ended after losing to eventual 2023 championship winner Marketa Vondrousova in the round of 32.
