Move aside, everyone, she said while sitting alone on her couch watching the Met Gala—Serena Williams has arrived. The tennis champion showed up for the 2025 Met Gala, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” looking like a winner (always) in an icy-blue Moncler duvet dress that I genuinely want to curl up in.

This could not look comfier.
This year’s exhibition was inspired by guest curator Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, and will—per Vogue—“explore the role of sartorial style in forming Black identities, focusing on the emergence, significance, and proliferation of the Black dandy.”
FYI, Serena just launched a collection for adults and kids with Janie and Jack, and told InStyle, “I wanted to create a collection that was a celebration of the family, a reflection of where I am right now. It’s just a special time in my life with the girls, and I wanted to capture it.” The tennis champ also added that she’s all about fashion risks, saying, “Do it—why not? Fashion is such an expression. It’s like a canvas of your personality and how you view it.”
