Tennis player Rafa Nadal and businessman Gabriel Escarrer, CEO of Meliá Hotels International, joined forces a year ago to create the ZEL Born in the Med chain, inspired by traditional Mediterranean homes, outdoor culture and a spontaneous lifestyle, as they themselves explain on their official website.
A few hours ago, the group announced its first hotel outside of Spain and the chosen location was the Dominican Republic. The paradise location chosen to house ZEL Punta Cana is Cortecito Beach, an idyllic spot on the Bávaro coast known for its soft sand beaches, crystal-clear waters and a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
The hotel has a total of 190 rooms and suites that are perfectly integrated into the surroundings. The décor adopts the philosophy of ‘outdoor living’ and biophilic design, integrating into the natural environment, respecting the original architecture and using materials that connect guests with the space. With a love for the outdoors and Mediterranean energy. Don’t miss the first images that have come to light in our gallery.
