The impact prominent tennis players have had on the sporting world is beyond appreciation. Some great names like Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, and many others have gone on to create a legacy that inspires people from not only tennis but other sports as well.
A similar example was on display recently. In a video posted by English club Liverpool FC, a trivia was down where the players were asked to name the personalities that have inspired them the most. However, there was one twist- the players need not be soccer players.

In the video posted, Curtis Jones conducts the interview where he goes down to ask his teammates the same question. Different players had different answers in their minds. Michael Jordan and Usain Bolt, however, made the cut with the most votes. However, as the cameras turned to Ibrahim Konate, he came up with an answer that was out of the box, among all others. He voted for Roger Federer. The same was with Alexis Mac Allister, who teamed up with Konate to vote for Federer.
While Federer received 2 votes, his friend Rafael Nadal received one vote from compatriot Adrian. Serena Williams was also counted on the list as Virgil Van Dijk included her. However, the shocker came when no one opted for Novak Djokovic, the 23-time grand slam winner. While the list mentioned Rafa, Fed, and Williams, Djoker could not make the cut.
Thus, this revelation from professional football players sheds light on the impact that prominent tennis names had on the world. With each passing day, these players continue to inspire with their on-court and off-court achievements. Talking about tennis, there are major ATP players to date who consider Roger Federer as their idol, despite making it all the way to the professional level.
Top ATP players who consider Roger Federer as their idol Roger Federer has had a significant impact in the tennis world with some major names taking inspiration from the Swiss Maestro. The list starts with Carlos Alcaraz. The Spanish sensation recently made headlines after his triumphant Wimbledon victory. He has always considered Roger as his idol.
