Heartfelt Embrace: Lionel Messi Shares Touching Moment with David Beckham and Victoria After Nashville Shootout Triumph

On Saturday night in Nashville, Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami team celebrated their first cup victory by embracing co-owner David Beckham and his wife Victoria.

Messi made his way into the arms of an overjoyed Beckham after a scrum on the field including his Miami teammates.

Former Major League Soccer player David Beckham was spotted putting something into Messi’s ear before the Argentine icon hugged Victoria briefly. After five disappointing seasons in Miami, during which the club failed to even make the MLS playoffs, Beckham and his wife experienced their own on-field embrace.

Once again, Messi was the game’s most valuable player on Saturday. He scored early in regular and then scored the game-winning goal in the shootout as Inter Miami defeated Nashville SC 10-9.

Messi scored in the 23rd minute, making it 10 goals in 7 games for Inter Miami.

After Robert Taylor’s pass was intercepted, the ball fell at Messi’s feet. Just outside the penalty area, Messi dribbled past Nashville defender Walker Zimmerman and fired a bending shot that landed in the upper left corner of the net. Elliot Panicco, who dove to play the ball, had no chance.

Before he scored, Messi didn’t have much of an impact on the game, and the crowd booed him every time he touched the ball. But when the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner who captained Argentina to the World Cup title last year scored, the stadium explоded in cheers.Fafa Picault’s header from a corner kιck for Nashville was deflected in off of Miami’s Benjamin Cremaschi and past goalie Drake Callendar to draw the game at 1-1 in the 56th minute.

In the 71st minute of regulation time, Messi took a shot from the same spot where he had scored previously, but he missed the goal. The game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Leonardo Campana, a striker for Miami, had a golden opportunity to score the game-winning goal in the waning seconds of regulation, but his dipping drive from close range struck the frame. When the ball slowly rolled out of play, Messi buried his face in his hands.

Messi coolly scored Miami’s first penalty kιck, sealing the deal and bringing home the hardware.

Nashville SC’s win over Monterrey in the Mexican league on Tuesday sent the city into a Messi frenzy as they prepared to face Miami FC in the championship match. The following day, ticket prices surged, although they calmed down a bit in the days leading up to the game. Even the cheapest tickets are several hundred dollars. Geodis Park was jam-packed with a whopping 30,109 people.

NBA great Giannis Antetokounmpo took some shots while Nashville resident Reese Witherspoon tossed out the game ball.
