Rafael Nadal and his partner of 14 years, Mery Perelló, celebrated their wedding at La Fortaleza fortress, the most expensive property in Spain, surrounded by 350 guests. The couple was overjoyed at this highly anticipated event.
Rafa looked dapper in a navy blue tailored suit and white shirt, while Mery, also known as Xisca, dazzled in a long-sleeved dress designed by acclaimed designer Rosa Clará. The dress, made from Art Deco-inspired French lace, featured a jewel neckline and hand-embroidered details.
Unforgettable moments
During the ceremony, Rafa chatted with priest Tomeu Catalá, while a bridesmaid held Mery’s long veil. Nadal’s sister, María Isabel, also shined in a slinky red dress, smiling as she watched the union of her brother and sister-in-law.
Guests enjoyed the stunning backdrop of Mallorca’s north-west coast, and among them was Juan Carlos I, former King of Spain, who arrived discreetly for the ceremony. Catering was provided by Michelin-starred chef Quique Dacosta.
Style and Glamour
Among the attendees, tennis player Feliciano López arrived in an elegant navy blue suit, accompanied by his partner, Sandra Gago. Also seen was Spanish actress Carolina Cerezuela, who looked spectacular in a red satin midi dress.
An iconic wedding venue, The Keep has been the setting for many memorable events and was purchased by Lord Lupton in 2011. Built in 1628, this stunning venue has been transformed into a luxury destination.
A Lasting Commitment
Rafa and Mery announced their engagement in January, after dating for 14 years, and decided to keep the news private for eight months. Mery, a business graduate and project director at the Rafa Nadal Foundation, has been by his side every step of the way in his successful career.
Their wedding day was a testament to the love and happiness they share, a moment that will remain etched in the memories of all those present.
