“Any man can be a father, but not every father is a dad. I’m grateful that I had such a great role model in my dad,” wrote Serena Williams’ beloved and former Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, two years ago, while paying tribute to his father Christopher Ohanian on Father’s Day.

Being a dad of two little angels himself, he knows what it takes to be the ‘best’ dad. After all, he keeps striving to accomplish this objective every day. Whether it’s his ‘Papa Pancake’ routine or treating the girls with a delicious bagel. Remember his present to Olympia last September on her seventh birthday? On IG, Alexis revealed, “I make sure my birthday girl gets her favorite bagel in NYC.” But what about his own special day? Well, he just received a treat from his father Chris, who sent him the ‘best’ gift he could get on his 42nd birthday.

Seems like Alexis is blessed with loving family members. First, it was Olympia who surprised him with a sweet gesture on April 24, his birth date, by literally marking the day on calendar. “Thank you for all the birthday wishes! Olympia even put me in her calendar 🥰,” Ohanian took to X to thank everyone who wished him. Sharing a cute picture, he revealed how the little one had marked his birthday by drawing him on the calendar. Truly adorable, isn’t it?

Even Athlos came up with a delightful message for the 42-year-old. In a post, dated April 25, its official IG account wrote, “Happy birthday to our founder @alexisohanian! To a bigger and better 2025 ” Athlos will return this year for another track and field meet featuring popular athletes, in October 2025. However, it was a gift and a touching message from his father that caught almost all the spotlight!

Taking to X, on April 27, Ohanian shared a post with a picture of a pastry box, sent by his dad Chris. The box actually contained cookies. Seems like it was his favorite brand, Voccaro’s, as he unveiled the heartfelt message from his father. “Happy Birthday Alexis! Your Dad’s wishing you another great birthday! Love, Charlotte,” it read.

Ohanian simply expressed his gratitude with a “🥰” emoji. He then followed it up with another post while enjoying the cookie. Commending his father’s birthday gift, Alexis simply called it, “The Best.”

This isn’t the first time the father-son bond has been witnessed online. Back in June 2020, Alexis wrote a special message for his dad on his 65th birthday. Taking to the Instagram, he wrote, “Happy birthday, dad. 65 years old today and wish we could do this in person, but you’ve been there from Day 1, put up with going to a fancy tailor in order to get a tux for my wedding day as Best Man, and I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know.” This isn’t your typical father-son dynamic!

During a February 4 episode of his Business Dad podcast, Ohanian sat with his father to talk about parenting and raising socially aware children. “Are there any other moments in particular that you’re proud of? I don’t want to hear you just talk about why you’re proud of me but of yourself. I did not turn out terribly, you should be able to feel at least somewhat proud of the job you did,” Alexis asked his father.

Chris gave a wholesome response: “You turned out darn well. That’s what you hope for. As a parent, you do the best you can. It doesn’t always ensure that things are going to turn out well. The expectation is you want things that turn out well for your child. I never thought of myself as a great parent. I tried to do a good job and I’m obviously very happy for you and now your family.”

Coming back to Alexis’ special day, then it’s not just his daughter and father Chris who have shared their sweet gestures. Even his wife and 23-time slam queen shared a special message three years ago.

Alexis Ohanian celebrated his 39th birthday in 2022, in April, and the former WTA icon came up with a loving present for him. No, it wasn’t a fancy item or any other accessory – but her sheer feelings.

Penning her emotions, Serena Williams revealed a card on which she wrote, “Not just for today but everyday. I love you. Your wife.” This adorable present was unveiled by Alexis on his IG story. Daughter Olympia also came up with something special for the occasion. It ended up surprising father Alexis.

Apparently, Olympia made a blue-colored, small-sized Triceratops (a species of dinosaurs). Undoubtedly, it left her father speechless while beaming with pride. Showering praise on Olympia for her scientific skills, he wrote on X, “I’m 39 today. Waking up with this little paleontologist was the best birthday gift I could’ve asked for. She will be my legacy — not founding @Reddit @Initialized, or even @sevensevensix (despite how ambitious our goals are) — making her proud is the lens through which I build.” 

Even the following year, on his 40th birthday, Olympia revealed a present for her dad. What was it, though? A simple, cute and heart-touching message. Taking to X, Alexis revealed it and wrote, “Jr this morning: “Papa you don’t look 40 — you still look 39!!”

All things considered, one can say Alexis got a lot of special wishes this time. Especially from his father and daughter Olympia who made his day in the sweetest way possible. Like, what else can you wish for?
