The 2024 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4Matic is driven by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 557 horsepower.
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4Matic has been updated alongside the rest of the GLS range, and according to the marque, it is even more refined than the outgoing model. That’s quite a statement, but is it true?
Beyond refreshing the exterior of the GLS 600 4Matic to reflect the updates made to the rest of the GLS family, Mercedes has given the luxurious SUV a new lower grille with a chrome surround. Additionally, the front grille is slightly taller than it was before, and the radar unit located in the center of it is also much more visible. The air intakes on the outer edges of the grille are also new.
The carmaker’s designers have also created a new set of 23-inch forged wheels for the SUV with a forged wheel bolt cover. A new lighting system has also been installed and projects the Maybach pattern onto the road when the doors are opened
Mercedes-Maybach will only sell the SUV with a single engine option, namely a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8. This mill delivers 557 horsepower between 6,000 and 6,500 rpm and 730 Nm of torque from 2,500 to 5,000 rpm.
It also has a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and an electric motor with an extra 22 horsepower and 184 lb-ft (250 Nm). It can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.2 seconds and power through to a 155 mph (250 km/h) top speed.
